Everyone Loves Paleo Chocolate
I was thrilled the day I learned that it was possible to make paleo chocolate at home with simple ingredients. I’ve made it many times and shared it with my friends and family. Today I am sharing it with you.
The main ingredient is cacao powder. Cacao is considered a superfood and for good reason. Cacao beans are one of the best magnesium-rich foods. Magnesium is important for muscle and nerve function and is good for the heart. Pure cacao contains lots of fiber which can help you feel fuller as well as promotes regular bowel movements. It is abundant in iron which can help fight anemic symptoms. Cacao is also high in antioxidants and it has beneficial effects on blood pressure and insulin resistance.
According to DrAxe.com:
Cacao, being the purest form of chocolate you can consume, ultimately means it’s raw and much less processed than cocoa powder or chocolate bars. It’s also thought to be the highest source of antioxidants and magnesium of all foods.
Paleo chocolate is fun and easy to make. In less than 10 minutes your chocolate can be in the freezer setting up. You can also make it vegan by using a vegan sweetener instead of honey. Plus if you don’t want just plain chocolate, you can customize it. I use chocolate molds and add nuts, seeds, dried fruits, coconut and more in the bottom of the mold or dish prior to adding the chocolate. It gives is it an extra crunch, unique flavors and each chocolate can be different. See my video below and learn more.
